Litti and Nunobe at official kickoff

Coach Pierre Littbarski and Takanori Nunobe were guests at the "2008 J.League Kickoff Conference" today which includes players, coaches and officials from all J.League and J2-Clubs.

New name for our home

Avispas Home-stadium, Hakata no mori-Stadium, got a new name.
The independent video game developer and publisher Level5 which based in Fukuoka  is the new sponsor of the stadium.
So the new name of the stadium is "Level5-Stadium".

For me, it's still Hakata no mori ^^

Test against Sapporo

Yesterday, Avispa played a 3 x 45 minutes-match at Hakata no mori-Stadium against new J.League member Consadole Sapporo. Avispa lost 2:3 (1-0 /0-1/1-2)
The first 90 minutes, Avispa played with a mostly "youngster Team" with Jun Suzuki, Mike Havenaar, Kyohei Oyama, Shingo Honda and Tomokazu Nagira.
The 3rd half, they played with a team which could be a Starting 11 in next J2 season.

Test against Seongnam

On a sonny saturday, Avispa played against ACL 2007 semi-finalist Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma from South Korea, but the game ended just 0:0 after 90 minutes.

Avispa will give new signing Ufuk Talay number 8 for new Season.
So Talay will heir it from fellow australian countryman and old teammate Alvin Ceccoli, who left Avispa for A-League side Central Coast Mariners.

another Aussie!

It was just a rumour in January but now we signed with australian International Ufuk Talay from Hyundai A-League side Sydney FC.

Ufuk was a teammate of Mark Rudan who joined us in January.
Most of his career he played for turkish clubs before he went to Sydney in 2005.

On thursday, Avispa will go to Miyazaki for another trainingscamp and will play their 4 test-machtes there. ( I reported)
They will train at Akanashi Track&Field in Hawks Village, a big training area from Fukuokas Baseballclub Softbank Hawks.

The Team will stay in Miyazaki till 24th february

Test-Matches in February

After the victory over Fukuoka University at the beginning of the month , Avispa will have 3 games to play in february.
On next Sunday Avispa will play against a Team from Tokyo (?).
Two days later they will play against a student team with students from all over Kyushu.
Another 2 days later, the 21st of februray, Avispa will meet J2-contender FC Gifu and the last game on 23rd of february will be against ACL 2007 semi-finalist Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma from South Korea.
