Nakashima lead Japan to win

Avispa's talent Kensei Nakashima scored the winning goal for Japan's U-14 at he 4:3-victory against Korea's U-14 on saturday at Changwon. The Avispa U-15-striker scored the goal in the 89th minute. Nakshima came in for Jubilo Iwata Junior Youth's Matsubara in the 2nd half.

Kyohei strikes again

On monday afternoon, Avispa played a TRM against Roasso Kumamoto. The game ended 1:1 after 90 minutes. Kyohei Oyama scored for Avispa again. Last week, Oyama scored a hattrick against Fukuoka University (reported) and earned a bench-place against Chiba.

[J2-R25] Avispa 2-1 Chiba

Guys? You are officially AWSOME!!!
What a game at LEVEL 5 and what a victory! We are the Bravehearts of japanese football, but first a look at the team...
Shino put Jumbo into the Starting 11 again instead of Okamoto
It was a pretty tie game and, like in all last games, we were down with 0:1 early. A suprising longshot rocket from JEF-defender Ryota Aoki was a big punch in Avispa's belly and both, team and fans where shocked, but at the same time many fans thought "that's normal, our time will come". Chiba made alot of pressure on our goal and Daiki and Tanaka looked not so good in some situation. But we had some good situations in the 1st half too. Jogo had the best chance, but the ball hit the outsite of the post. In the 2nd half, we put some more pressure on Chiba's goal but the shots from Kudo and Sueyoshi went over the crossbar. Also JEF had some good chances in the 2nd half, but Kamiyama had another good day and saved us from a 0:2-down. The time went down and we had only 10 minutes to switch the game... After a corner from Nakajima, Daiki headed the goal to the back of the box where Yusuke stood. No defender covered him, so he tried his luck and shot the ball into the yellow wall. The ball got threw it somehow and landed in the net, after hitting some defenders. 1:1 and now everybody new "this is not the end!"
JEF seemed shocked and tried to make the 1:2 with a total offensive run. In this run, Shu Kurata failed with a pass. Nakamachi grabbed the ball and had much place to look, who is in the best position. Genki had no place and Okamoto was covered by 3 defenders, but Jogo, who ran at the right side of the box was in a good position. Nakamachi played it wide to Jogo. Jogo didn't look for a directly finish, so he stopped the ball. He dribbeled and shoted a left-footed rocket which landed in the net! We turned a game again! We made it again! With a JOGOAL again!!!
After the game, the team celebraited like we made it to the J1 already!!! I have to say, my eyes went wet at this moment. The team is more than a team!
Now the finished the 1st game of "STOP THE YELLOW! !"!

[90thEC - R2] Okayama 2-3 Avispa

We did it again! Similar situation before the game, similar situation during the game, similar situation after the game like last week against Toyama!
We turned arround a 2:0-down into a 2:3-victory in the 2nd half of the 2nd round's 90th Emperor's Cup-game against Fagiano Okayama!
There was one suprising change in the starting 11. Kamiyama must suffer an injury, because Rokutan played and Kasagawa was on bench...
It started not good for us again after Fagi made 2 goals in short time, but Shino must found the right words again to cheer his guys up to show an other game in the 2nd half.
13 minutes into 2nd half, Okamoto headed the 2:1 after a corner. Just 6 minutes later, it was time for a Jogoal again! His 5th in the last 4 games! So the game was tied up and everything looked like both teams have to into extra-time, but then Avispa's best in the last weeks Kosuke Nakamachi scored the final goal to the first win against Fagiano in history and the final goal to the 3rd round of Emperor's Cup with a PK in injury-time! Let's call us "The Comebackers"!

Starting 11

GK: Rokutan
DF: Yamagata, Niwa, Tanaka, Nakajima
MF: Kudo, Nakamachi, Sueyoshi, Nagasato
FW: Jogo, Okamoto

Bench; Kasagawa, Miyaji, Nagira, Suzuki, Yusuke, Okubo

Goals
1:0 - 25' - Lee Dong-Myung
2:0 - 33' - Ryo Tadokoro
2:1 - 58' - Hideya Okamoto
2:2 - 64' - Hisashi Jogo
2:3 - 90'+2 - Kosuke Nakamachi

Subs
45' - Tanaka -> Nagira
56' - Kudo -> Yusuke
77' - Jogo -> Okubo

Cautions
45' - Nakamachi

Okamoto's goal

Kosuke's PK

In the 3rd round, we will face Sanfrecce Hiroshima. Sanfrecce won their game easily against Dezzolla Shimane with 4:0. I think it will be a pretty good game and it would be no shame if we lose it. Anyway, i really looking foward to the game. Let's see if Daiki can control Hisato Sato or Oka and Jogo can go throgh their pretty good defence. Sanfrecce is playing in a higher league and a higher level than we do, but the last 2 games showed....WE ARE FIGHTERS!!!

Emperor's Cup - Fagiano Okayama

Avispa will face Fagiano Okayama at the 2nd Round of the 90th Emperor's Cup. The game will held at kanko Stadium in Okayama sunday evening, 18:00.
The team headed to Okayama this afternoon.

It will be a hard game i think. Few weeks ago, Fagi reached a 0:0 in Fukuoka and the fact is, that we never reached a win against Fagi in the league...thanks got cup-games got it own rules most of time and it's a similar situation before the away-game in Toyama and it ended good for us.

If we win the game, we play against the winner from Sanfrecce Hiroshima - Dezzolla Shimane. That should be no problem for Sanfrecce...

[J2-R24] Toyama 1-2 Avispa

Pretty hard game in Toyama, but we finally made it and took the 3 points with us home back to Fukuoka. Abe wasn't in the starting eleven like Yahoo reported and not even in the squad for todays game. Suzuki took the place next to Nakamachi. Son made it to the bench for the first time of the season.
The early 1:0 after just 2. minutes must have been a shock for us and destroyed Shino's plans.
The game seemed very even, when you look at the shots on the goal and it took a long time we made the first goal. After a long goalkick from Kamiyama, Jumbo, who was all alone, headed the ball to Jogo. Jogo past the Toyama-defenders with great fighting spirit and shot a rocket from the box-line right into the upper right corner of the goal! No chance for Toyama's keeper...
After the goal it seems like we produced some more chances. The 2nd goal came after we missed a corner chance. Toyama wanted to start a counterattack, but Nori was able to stop it. After two passes from Yusuke and Tanaka, Nakajima crossed the ball into the box, where Jumbo headed the ball to Nakamachi, who tunneled the ball to Jogo, who ran into the box. Jogo shot the ball into the net directly and switched the match for Avispa from a 1:0 into a 1:2!
3 important points! Now we are close to the showdown against Chiba at next round at LEVEL5!
This game will show if we are already ready for the J1!

Starting 11
GK: Kamiyama
DF: Yamagata, Niwa, Tanaka, Nakajima
MF: Kudo, Nakamachi, Suzuki, Nagasato
FW: Jogo, Okamoto

Bench: Rokutan, Miyaji, Nagira, Son, Yusuke, Okubo

Abe to start against Toyama?

Yahoo report that Shu Abe will replace Toshiya Sueyoshi for the tomorrow away-game against Kataller Toyama. I would prefer Suzuki beside Nakamachi. He's more effective than Abe. Abe only played in the away-game against Kashiwa Reysol on Round 3.
That's the only change for the game.

Let's see how we will perform tomorrow. We are always so so at away games, but i'm pretty optimistic for the game. I hope the team don't feel the little pressure from Chiba's 4:0-victory against Fagi today. If we will win at Toyama, it will come to a showdown against Chiba at the Level5!

I hope Oka and Jogo will show another good performance tomorrow. I think they do well together and put alot of pressure on the goal in the last games. Both are good workers. Even when they're not real topscorers, ok, Jogo scored 2 against Kofu, but the pressure they put on the opponent-defence is good.

Bad news up first...
Masato Yoshihara suffred a bad cruciate ligamet injury and will be out for the rest of the season.

Now some good news!
What a stunning win against Mito! 5:0 with 4 awsome goals...but to be honest, Mito gave us big assists.
Sueyoshi scored his first goal of his young career. I'm becoming a big fan of him!
Now we are just 2 points behind 3rd place JEF United Chiba. Too bad we left some points at the seasons restart at Kusatsu and against Okayama, but now it's looking good again. The next match will be away against Toyama.

Public viewing at Level-5

What's the best way to watch a world cup-game??? It's public viewing!
On saturday night, over 8200 people, more than in some league-game, came togehter at Level-5 stadium to watch Japan's 2nd group stage-match against the Netherlands. Too bad that Japan lost a pretty even game with 0:1. Before the game, Masato Yoshihara, Jun Suzuki and ex-international Makoto Tanaka were on the pitch to have a talk about Japan's team. There were also entertaiment for the kids with Ronald McDonald. Now there are all eyes on the last group match against Denmark. Both teams fighting for the 2nd place behind the Netherlands. Japan would get through with a draw, Denmark need a win.

GO BLUE SAMURAIS!

[J2-R17] Avispa 2-1 Oita

Yes! We won the Kyushu-Derby against Oita Trinita with 2:1, so now we got 5 wins in a row and 7 games without a lose. 19 points out of 21 possible! What Shinoda did with the guys after the break at round 10!? But the game up first...
It started not that good. Daiki Takamatsu, who took the captain-armband from his vice Naoya Kikuchi again, headed a goal after a corner in the 5th minute.
In the 18th minute, Nakamachi headed a goal after a Kudo-corner. It was an easy one for Nakamachi because no Oita-defender covered him.
It looked like the game would end with a 1:1-draw just a few minutes before the final whistle, but after a Yusuke-cross in the 87th minute, Jumbo tried to control the ball, but a Oita-defender covered him really well, so he couldn't move. At the next second, Kikuchi seemed to have a good idea: Why don't jump Okubo on his knee!? It will stop him...and so he did.
A more than a clear penalty-kick and Kikuchi was lucky to not sent off.
Jumbo took a long run from the box-line to shot the PK, and was lucky to score. Oita-keeper Shimokawa jump into the right conrner and got the hands down, but the ball went under his arms into the goal!

After the PK, the highlight of the day happend!
GUESS WHO'S BACK!? JOGO IS!!!!!
After out of 9 months suffered from a cruciate ligament rupture, he came in right after Jumbo's PK for Sueyoshi.

Nakajima is still injured an missed the game. Miyai played on his position.

[J2-R16] Tochigi 1-2 Avispa

Hooray! We won the really important game against Tochigi with 1:2, so now we are the top-chasers of the Top 3 Reysol, Kofu and Chiba.
We had to replace Nakajima and Tanaka, who must be injured. The two were replaced by Miyaji and Nagira.
We started strong with a goal after 4 minutes. Genki scored his 8th goal of the season after a good pass from Okamoto. Genki was left alone by the Tochigi-defence on his left site. With a left cracker from Genki and a little help from the post, the ball found his way into the goal.
Tochigi scored the 1:1 after a header from Choi just before the half time, but just 10 minutes in the 2nd, Okubo scored his 4th goal of the season after a long time...
Kudo played a good cross and Okamoto made his second asisst with a "chest-pass" to Jumbo, who run into the middle of the box and tipped the ball into the goal for the final 1:2!
Yusuke made his comeback after his injury by came in for Nagasato in the 92nd minute.

This win was so important for us! Now we have to stay cool and have to win the Kyushu-Derby against Oita, the first against Oita since our last J1-days back in 2006. I'm pretty optimistic. We are on the run, specially at home. Oita is a bit down at the moment and waiting for the next win.

New Avispa Blog!

There's another Avispa-Blog in English, just started few days ago.

http://avispafukuoka.wordpress.com/

A really good blog, specialy for game reports.
The writer visit every home game of Avispa and so got a good view on the players and games.

The blog is great, but please stay here too ;)
Support both blogs, please!

[J2-R12] Chiba 1-1 Avispa

First of all, i want to say sorry to all readers and Avispa-Fans, that i missed to write so many news and game reports, but i was pretty busy, but now i try to report regulaly again.

It seemed like a really good match at the Fukuda Denshi Arena on sunday noon. The sky was blue and the fans on both sides were good, like always on both sides.
Shinoda put Miyaji on Yamagata's position again after his good performance at the derby against Roasso. Kudo replaced Yusuke on the LMF position. Okamoto replaced Takahashi along Okubo.
JEF was unbeaten at Denshi in 5 games...till sunday.
It was a pretty close game, but it looked like JEF would take the 3 points at home again after Sato's lucky goal in the 26th minute. The ball hit Tanaka and flew into the goal. Kamiyama just looked behind...
But one player showed a great performance and started where he end at the Roasso game. Kosuke Nakamachi scored a marvelous goal, after a good passing play of Avispa. Nakamachi stopped the ball with his chest and shot with right, right into the JEF goal.
We played really, really well and won with 16:11 on shots.
I'm pretty happy with the point, in fact that JEF was unbeaten at home.
It seems, that we really used the break at the 10th round to come out strong after the 4 losts.
Let's hope we can go on like this!

Starting 11
GK: Kamiyama
DF: Miyaji, Niwa, Tanaka, Nakajima

1st goal for Toru at Tochigi

Toru scored his first goal for Tochigi SC at the 1:2-away-win against Fagiano Okayama!

Tochigi is in pretty good shape at the moment and is on 8th place at the moment with 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses.

Hokuto's Adventure Vol. 18

Another starting elven-position for Hokuto, but he and Tokyo lost the highly prestige derby Tamagawa Classico "Get the river under control" against Kawasaki Frontale with 2:1 at Todoroki. 2 goals from Korea DPR's striker Chong Tese gave Kawasaki the win. Yasuyuki Konno scored the 2:1.
Hokuto was replaced by south korean youth-international Kim Young-Gwon in the 59th minute.

[J2-R5] Tokyo 1-1 Avispa

Maybe most japanese football fans thought, that an Avispa on their top would beat a bottom-Verdy. But it seems like that the team and also Shimoda was pretty happy with the point, because it's always not easy to get a point away.
Yosuke Miyaji made his first starting 11-debut. It was not our best central back because, Nagira and Tanaka were not in the squad, so there were just Miyaji and Yamaguchi for the position along Daiki.
The team seemed not that strong like in the games before. Like a half year ago, Verdy star-youngster Hiroki Kawano scored the 1:0 for the greens and we got under pressure even more but the team fought bravely and Hideya Okamoto headed the ball into the net after a cross from Jun Suzuki 5 minutes before the end.

Starting 11

F.C. Tokyo and Hokuto faced Nagoya Grampus and Chiyo in the first group-stage-game of Nabisco Cup 2010 and end up in a tie 2:2. Hokuto played Matsushita's part like against Omiya and played really offensive again.
Chiyo played for the second time of the season and make his first starting eleven-game. Hokuto's best buddy Sota Hirayama and rookie Kentaro Shigematsu with a last minute-goal. Aussie-Tower Joshua Kennedy and our beloved Chiyo scored the 2 goals for Nagoya.
It was Hokuto's 4 starting-eleven game out of 5 games. He just missed the home game against Cerezo Osaka (0:0). He was replaced by Otake in the 68th minute.
Chiyo made his first full 90 minutes of the season. In the league, he just played 4 minutes in two games.

Hokuto's Adventure Vol. 16

F.C. Tokyo and Hokuto celebraited a 0:2-win against Omiya at NACK5. Hokuto started, played Matsushita's part and showed a really offensive game and went into the box very often. Tokyo outshoted Omiya with 32:3 shots on the goal. Omiya got in trouble with two red cards, but to be honest, the cards were the joke of the weekend, specially the one for An.
Hokuto were replaced in the 56th minute by rookie Kentaro Shigematsu, who made his pro-debut and scored the 0:2.

[J2-R4] Avispa 5-0 Toyama

What a performance! No minute we had to fear to lose this game!
21:5 shots on goal and another great performance from Genki Nagasato and the others made the day in Fukuoka even sunnier than it was!
The party started in the 30th minute with a header from Genki after a cross from Jumbo Okubo. No Toyama-defender covered Genki, so it was a easy goal to score.
The 2:0 came just before the halftime. A Toyama-defender touched the ball after a Jumbo-header, so the Ref pointed to the point. Okubo scored the penalty, but he had to make it again. No problem for Jumbo and he scored the 2:0. After the break, we started where we ended in the first...with alot of pressure and the result was the 3:0 from Genki. Yusuke took a cross from Yamagata in the box and crossed it from the line to Nagasato, who came into the box and scored with a left shot.
Toyama find just single ways to break through the midfield, but they got themself into trouble after 2 yellow/red cards in just 12 minutes. After that, it was much easier than it was before. The midfield was our now, so we scored the 4:0 just 5 minutes after the second red card for Kataller. Suzuki played a pass to Takahashi, who started a solorun and scored the 4th goal of the afternoon. What a party that was and Jun Suzuki ended it with a masterpiece of a corner! A goal from a corner...that happend just ones in a livetime!

Highlights

Now we have a 11:2 on goals, so we are the most effective team in the J2. Just two goals against isn't bad and make Yuji Rokutan one of the best keepers in the J2 at the moment. We are on third place now, after Yokohama lost in the top-game of the weekend with 1:2 aginst the Team of the moment, Tokushima Vortis, which are still on 1st with the full 12 points after 4 games. Kashiwa took the 2nd after a 0:2 in Tokyo against Verdy and got 10 points now.

[J2-R3] Kashiwa 1-0 Avispa

Not much to say about...
It was a pretty even match which was decited by a failed pass by Yusuke Tanaka. Kashiwa's Masato Kudo took the chance and scored the 1:0 for Reysol in the 81st minute.
Defender Yosuke Miyaji made his professional-debut in the 72nd minute.

Capital Adventure Vol.15

Hurray, Hokuto started 2nd time in a row!
He started for the not 100% fit Naohiro Ishikawa again. After last weeks last minute-victory for Tokyo against Yokohama, where Hokuto's header hit the post, FCT wasn't so lucky and lost infront of over 50.000 people against Urawa Reds after a PK-goal from Ponte in the 19th minute.
Hokuto was subbed out for Ishikawa in the 44th minute.

[J2-R2] Sapporo 0-3 Avispa

Congrats boys, who beated Consadole at their Dome with a 0:3 last time?
We were able to stop Consadole in the midfiled, so they didn't come trough so often to attack.
On the other side, Sapporo played very poor this time. We were fresher and phyisicaly stronger. Maybe the 0:3 is a bit too high, but a clear win is a clear win.We started with the same players like last week against Ventforet Kofu.Nagasato and Nakajima played a great game again. Yusuke, who was the man of the match against Kofu, seemed not so fresh this time. On Consadole's side, Fujita was the best. He always worked and tried to make some pressure, but he was unlucky like all the other red and black-stripped players this time.
The 0:1 came after just 3 minutes and a corner from Sueyoshi. Okubo crossed the ball onto Niwa's head and the captain headed it. Consadole seemed not on the pitch, so Avispa totaly controlled the game. After just 22 minutes, we scored our 2nd goal. After a pass from Nagasato, Nakajima crossed the ball into the start, where the Jumbo was ready to liftoff. Jumbo headed it in and we leaded 0:2. Till the halftime, the game went on so-so. Consadole wanted to play but we stopped them.
Just after the halftime, Nagasato destroyed Consadole's hopes for a comeback with a absolute awsome goal! Consadole tried and tried it to comeback after the goal and took more over then, but on this day, they weren't able and lucky enough, so we won easily at the end.

[J2-R1] Avispa 3-1 Kofu

Welcome to the J2's 2010 season! and welcome to the Yusuke Tanaka-Show!
What a one-sided game that was! 15-4 shots on goal for us.
Kofu seemed really weak and didn't play like a team who wants to go to the top. Maybe we shoked them with our middlefield, which was really suprising. Shinoda let the new faces start in our 4-4-2-system instead of the "old". Toshiya Sueyoshi, Yosuke Nakamachi and Genki Sueyoshi started and showed a pretty good game.
The 1:0 was a fault of Kofu-Keeper Ogi, who couldn't handel a shot from outside of the box from Takahashi. Ogi touched it in front of him and Yusuke shot the ball into the net easily.
At the 2:0 we came into the attacking position after just 2 passes. The end of this 2 pass-combo was a masterpiece of a cross from Nakajima, which found Yusuke's foot in the box. Yusuke handeld the ball and just shot it in!
5 minutes to play and the two newcomers Sueyoshi and Nagasato made their goal. Sueyoshi kicked the corner wide into the box where Nagasato waited. All players ran for the ball, but Genki just stood there and waited for the ball...and that was the right decision.

Now we lead the J2 again after years! It seems that Shinoda intigrated the young ones pretty good in the practice matches. They play really good with our "old" ones. Now let's see when will Takahashi-Okubo will strike again...

Nakaharai retired

Midfielder Daisuke Nakaharai retired. The 32 year-old Kanagawa-born was nothing more than a player who come from the bench, after he joined us again in 2008. Nakaharai started his career at Avispa back in 1997 and was a really promising player in the late 90s - early 00s.
In 2002, Daisuke joined Kyoto Purple Sanga and played a good role there in 6 seasons, but after he came back in 2008, he didn't really make the braketrough into the starting eleven.
