Hokuto is injured again!

"He did take a bad knock in the Yamagata match a month ago, hence why he was substituted early in that game. The note from the team a day after the match said that he was examined at the hospital, had taken a knock, and would join the team as soon as the pain stopped. His last injury took far longer than expected for him to overcome so who knows."

Derby Preview: Tosu vs Avispa

We are close to the second derby between both teams from nothern Kyushu.
The first game ended 0:0 at Hakata.
We got another bad row with 3 losses and just one goal in the last 3 games...
After the unexpected win against Vegalta, Ehime and Kofu raped us days later with a3:0 in Ehime and a brutal 6:0 at Kose. After the lost against Verdy on sunday, Shinoda is standing on the edge of the cliff...
The team seems tired and several important players are not fit or injured like Jogo, Wellington or captain Hisanaga. Takahashi seems a bit out of form too and can't show his real skills at the moment.

Tosu made a turn-around from the beginning of the season and brought in the succsses with the Marinos-boys Yamase and Havenaar. After a good season with us last year, Mike came back to Kyushu and go on with it what he can do best at Kyushu...scoring goals. The two youngsters seems like to gave the whole team stability what they needed after the bad start.

The biggest problem for us is, how to stop Mike?
Niwa is out after the foul against Oguro and his fourth yellow card...
Nagano got more physical strengh than Tanaka to stop Mike, but he and Nagira totally collapsed at Kose...
So, It's in Shinoda's hands, who will play along Nagira in the central back.

Well, no song for us again...
The game was also dissapointing again...
The 0:1 from Leandro was a masterpiece of doing nothing. 5 players was around him and did nothing and Leandro just shot the ball into the goal.
The 1:1 was a bit lucky i think. "Jumbo" Okubo made a Jumbo-Trough-In right into the 5m-Box. Nobody of the Verdy-defence cared about Yusuke, who tipped the ball over Doi and over the line.
We don't have to discuss about the PK...it was a clear PK and a deseverd yellow card for Niwa, who will miss the next game against our neighbours from Tosu.

[J2-R22] Ehime 3-0 Avispa

With this lose, we lost the chance to contact to the midfield of the table.
It was a deserved lose. Ehime outhoted aus with 7-13 and the freaky thing is, that we get one single cornerkick in 90 minutes!
The only good news for today: Jogo is back after his shoulder Injury he suffered in the game against Yokohama few weeks ago.
The next three games will be really hard for us. On wednesday we will meet Kofu away, Verdy will come for a visit on sunday and on 4th july, we will face Sagan Tosu for another Kyushu Derby at Tosu Stadium.

J Youth Cup 2009

Avispa Fukuoka's U-18 will be part of the J Youth Cup 2009, a tournament for the youth teams of J.League teams.

A boy for Alex!

Our brazilian forward Alex became a daddy yesterday morning.
The boy was born at Fukuoka City Hospital at 10:58 AM and wheights 3400g.
Mother and child doing well.
The name of the boy is Murilo Jose Pires de Carvalho.

Yoshihara's trip goes on

Avispa U-18 forward Masato Yoshihara was elected for the Japanese U-18 candidacy trainings camp again in view of the U-20 World Cup 2011 in Colombia.
The camp will be held from 22nd to 25th June in Ibaraki prefecture.

What an unexepted win against Vegalta at home!
Vegalta had more shots, cornerkicks and freekicks, but we scored the goal and that's the important thing in football!
Okamoto's goal after a pass from Takahashi in an Avispa counterattack was a beauty.
Takahashi made his second asisst in a row after the cross for Okubo's header against Kusatsu.
Defender Satoshi Nagano made his season debut along Makoto Tanaka.
Nakaharai replaced Jogo again.

Verdy game at Ajinomoto

The J.League decited, that the game against Tokyo Verdy at the 47th round of J2 will be held at Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo. The game will be on 25th October. The Kickoff-time will be annouced in late July.

Bad mistakes

Here is a video about the 1:2-lose against Thespa Kusatsu last sunday



Makoto Tanaka played a very bad game. He could save the ball easliy, but he didn't run after it, so Goto scored the 0:1. No mistake from Yoshida in this situation, he was outside the box, so he can't do anything.
The 2nd goal from Thespa was really unlucky. Kugisaki couldn't do anything and so do Yoshida. Kugisaki wanted to head it out of the box, but the physic won this fight. It would be an easy ball for Yoshida.
The whole defence played very dissaponitng.

[J2-R20] Avispa 1-2 Kusatsu

Another dissapointing result after the victory in Yokohama.
Nakaharai replaced Jogo on the right side, but without Jogo, the power is missing. Let's hope he will get well soon.
It was not a really good game. Just 5 shots on our site and 8 on Kusatsu.
The only man, who is shining out of the dark situation is Jumbo Okubo, who scored his 3rd goal in the last 4 games. Now he is 1st on the team-intern scorer-list along with Takahashi. Both scored 5 times.

Jogo is out for 3 weeks

Midfielder Hisashi Jogo is out for ca. 3 weeks after he injured in the games against Yokohama on sunday. After an inspection at the Fukuoka City Hospital, the doctors diagnosed a sub-dislocation in the right shoulder joint.

It's sad, because he was our most effectiv midfielder so far and already scored 3 goals.

Now, Jogo will do a reha and will join the training soon again.

Capitol Advanture Vol.6

Hokuto and FC Tokyo won their homegame in the Nabisco Cup against Montedio Yamagata at National Stadium in Tokyo with 3:1.
The first time this season that he was in the Starting 11.
The point I'm worried about is, that Hokuto was subed out in the 29th minute for Kenta Mukuhara. Is he injured?

After 10 games without any win, the team took three points home from Yokohama.
Jumbo Okubo scored the goal of the day in the 10th minute with a hard, speedy header after a corner from Kugisaki, who made his first game after about one and a half year.
