Rookie Kazuki Yamaguchi, who joined Avispa this season from Fukuoka University got injured in the training match against Roasso Kumamoto (1:0) on monday. Yamaguchi suffer a joint sprain in his right foot. He will be out for ca. 4 weeks. The Defender didn't make a game this season and is not a part of Shinoda's plan, so he just played in pre-season matches in early 2009 and training matches so far.
The J2 got a one week break now, so Avispa and Roasso took the chance to play another Kyushu-Derby in a training match one day after the real derby in the league. Avispa won this training match with a goal from Alex in the 77th minute. The good news is that Hisanaga played in this game. Shu Abe, the new one from Kashiwa played also.
4 games without a lose and 10 points, that's pretty nice! Another nice thing is, that Takahashi scored after a long time again and against his old club. Yutaka turned from a goal machine into a really good winger up front, who can play really nice passes and crosses. It's a bit like Johnsen at Shimizu. Johnsen was the goalgetter at Nagoya and now is more the worker up front and Okazaki the scorer, but back to the game: The Derby turned really exciting in the second half. We scored the leading goal after a nice cross from Takahashi. Okamoto didn't get the ball clearly, so it bounced from the field, over the goalie, into the net. 0:1. We scored the 0:2 and the 0:3 in just two minutes. The league gave Jumbo the 0:2, but in my eyes, he didn't reach the ball from Jun Suzuki. The 0:3 came from the Roasso-Legend himself. Roasso came back right after our 0:3 with a penaltykick and scored the 1:3. In extra-time, the game got close after Roasso scored the 2:3, but things turned out well for us. We are in a pretty good run now and Shinoda job should be save for the next few weeks. Anything else than a lose against Okayama on sunday would be a big dissapointment after this really good run now.
Avispa could move themself into trouble in the next games... Yusuke and Nagano are out for 2 weeks, Jun is on U-20-Tour to Korea and alot of players got 3 yellow cards...
OUT Yusuke Tanaka (injury) Satoshi Nagano (injury) Jun Suzuki (U-20-Tour)
Yusuke Tanaka and Satoshi Nagano got injured in the game against Tokushima Vortis on wednesday evening (1:1). Yusuke suffer a calf-injury and Nagano suffer a sprain on his left foot. Both went to Fukuoka City Hospital and get the diagnostics yesterday. Yusuke and Nagano will go into Reha and will be play in ca. 2 weeks again.
JFA technical director Hiromi Hara and NT-coach Takeshi Okada elected the squad for the Suwon Cup. The Suwon Cup is a youth tournament for U-20 teams and will be held at Suwon World Cup Stadium from 31.7. to 7.8..
Jun Suzuki will be a part of the team. The U-20 international and home-grown talent played a solid season and just missed two games so far. Jun just earned one yellow card in 27 games.
Jun's only goal for Avispa so far from 2008 final against Shonan
Big thanks to Jumbo! With his header on wednesday, he saved us another point in the extra-time after his two strikes at Hiratsuka. We had more shots, but Vortis were able to score the first goal that evening. We never stoped fighting and scored the 1:1 with a typical Jumbo header!
Thanks Jumbo, we love you!
Some difficult desicions are add on this point we won watch the videos below: No foul from Yoshida? Didn't Yusuke handicap the keeper at Jumbo's goal? Starting 11 GK: Yoshida DF: Miyamoto, Niwa, Nagira, Kugisaki MF: Yusuke, Jogo, Okubo, Kudo, Suzuki FW: Oyama
Just 3 words... WHAT A FINISH! well done guys, well done! Everything looked like another lose and nobody thought that the away-team in white, who's always playing pretty unmotivated in other stadiums will turn the match around agains the leaders from Shonan. In the 36. minute, Shonan get a deserved penalty after Kugi grabbed the jersey from Adiel. Adiel scored the penalty and it seemed like everything is going his normal way. After the break, Yoshito Terakawa scored the 2:0 in the 59. and Yuya Nakamura was close to score the 3:0 just seconds later. It seemed like Shonan get's pretty lazy. We get our chances in counterattacks and in the 84. minute Hideya Okamoto get the chance to score the 2:1. Just 5 minutes later, Jumbo Okubo score the equalizer after a good cross from Jogo. In the extra-time, we get another counter chance along the left side from Takahashi. He played a pass into the box, but a Shonan-defender blocked a shot from Okamoto, but Jumo was waiting behind them and shot a rocket right on Shonan-Keeper Nozawa. Nozawa blocked the shot, but couldn't save him, so the ball bounced into the net for an unbelivable 2:3!
Shu Abe from Kashiwa Reysol will join Avispa on a loan-deal. Abe didn't get much playing time at Kashiwa and just make 1 game for the yellows this season. Overall he made just 2 games from 2007 till now for the sun kings. The loan-deal-period will be from 21.7.2009 till 22.1.2010
A win after a long hard fight with a totaly new team from Shinoda... Alot of important players were not able to play, like Yamagata, Nakajima, Wellington... Shinoda took Oyama instead of Takahashi up front and Okubo played behind him in the midfield. Suzuki played on Jogo's right side and Jogo played the central part along with Kiyo Kudo, who replaced Wellington. We outshoted Tochigi with 12:7, but wasn't able to score. Just after Takahashi was subed in, the team played quick and Yusuke Tanaka scored the goal of the day.

In his debut for FCT against Yokohama, Hokuto played himself right into the heart of the Red and Blue-Fans after he scored the winning goal at Yokohama.

We lost the Kyushu Derby at Tosu with 3:1... Shinoda changed the formation from a 4-4-2 to a 4-5-1 with Okubo as the only foward. Takahashi played right behind him as a offensive Midfielder. Wellington switched the places with Jogo, so he played on the right side and Jogo played in the cental. That produced alot of chances, but they was not able to bring the ball into the net. Yoshida had no chance at all goals... If we not win against Tochigi next week, Shinoda can search after a new job ...
Today, foward Kensuke Nagai lead Japan to a 4:1-victory against Brazil at the Universiade 2009 in Belgrade. Nagai scored a hattrick in the 2nd half with goals in the 58., 77. and 93. minute.
