A happy and successfull new year 2009! SUPER Avispa!
Avispa will held an one week-training camp at Shimabara-City in Nagasaki prefecture. The team will go to Shimabara from 25th january to 31st january. The training will held at Shibama Citys track and field place.
The city is famous for his Samurai Road (in the picture) and his castle. Shimabara is also known as the city of carps.
Avispa annouced today that U-20 international Jun Suzuki will practice with the B-squad of spanish side Getafe FC from Primera Division. Suzuki will stay in Spain for a month from 29th december to 31st january. The 19 year-old played 18 games in 2008 and scored one goal on the last day against Shonan Bellmare. 12 times he played out of the starting eleven.
Forward Kyohei Oyama will be one of the upcoming stars who represent Japan at the U-20 international friendly tournament in Qatar. Japan will go to Qatar on 6th january.
SCHEDULE: 11.1 / Japan vs. Tunisia 13.1 / Japan vs. UAE 15.1 / Japan vs. Serbia
Oyama just played 2 games in 2008 with 17 minutes on the pitch ... Japanese U-20 missed the quali for FIFA U-20 WC in Egypt 2009 after a 0:3-lost to South Korea in AFC Youth Championship 2008
After Mike Havenaar is leaving us for Yokohama F-Marinos, Avispa made an offer for Roasso Kumamotos topscorer Yutaka Takahashi (FW). Takahashi scored 19 goals in 42 games for Roasso and finished 2nd place at the overall topscorers behind Sanfrecces Hisato Sato. The 28-year old from Tokyo already played for Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Omiya Ardija, JEF United Chiba. In 2006 he moved to Kumamoto and in 2007 he joined the J2 with them.
FC Tokyo wants to make an offer for Hokuto Nakamura. The capital club wants to find a good partner for their forward and Hokutos old friend Sota Hirayama. Hokuto and Hirayama were classmates at Kunimi High School in Nagasaki for a few years. Hokuto and Hirayama played together for Japans U-23 also.
Avispas U-18 Goalkeeper Eita Kasagawa will join the A-squad in 2009. Hasegawa was born on 25th october 1990 in Fukuoka. He already played for Avispas U-15. GK coach Takayuki Fujikawa icluded him into the practice of the A-squad and he impressed, so Avispa decited to give him a pro-contract for season 2009.
4 Guys will leave us and we want to say thank you!
Takanori Nunobe Ufuk Talay Mark Rudan Shingo Honda
Nuno was one of our vice-captains this season. With his much expericence he lead the team very well and he didn't need the captains armband for it. He stayed with us in 3 hard seasons and he really kept the team togehter!
Talay was the best of the 4 Aussies we had in the last 2 seasons. He really impressed and was not one of the foreigners who come to Japan and want to make the fast money and then leave the islands as quick as possible. Ufuk really deserves this money with 5 goals and we keep him good in our mindes.
Mark was injured the most of the season and couldn't show what he's good for. Too bad for him, but we want to thank him that he stayed with us the whole season.
Midfielder Kiyokazu Kudo went to hospital in Fukuoka City on tuesday for a athroscopy because of his knee-injury. Everything worked well and now he got enough time to rest over the christmas days :) Let's hope he can join the team as quick as possible.
After a little time of sadness and frustration, we should be proud of our team and look forward to the new season and the new challanges! We don't have to hide somewhere after we failed the expactations of the experts, because our team showed great heart, even we lost the view to our season-goal pretty early, but we ended the season 2008 with dignity and I'm sure we will be one of the favourites for a place in the top in 2009 again.
Hey guys, i told you before that i nearly missed the whole season because of the shitty internet here and i wanted to tell you that I will try to write here regulaly for now on :)
The sidebar with table, topscorer will be closed and clean for now on I work on it when the new season starts.
I can't write a season review because i missed the most all i can write is .....disappointing...... The good news is that i will start with some rumors and moves to the new season soon :)
So I apologize again for my days off and wish you good days from the snowy Germany! MATA-NE!!!
Just a result to stuck.... Hi, I'm back after a long time and i see Avispa is still stucking at the mid-table. We always had the chance to move up because there was just 7-9 points to the uper ranks, but we didn't take the chances we had.
Today we played against Yokohama FC at home but we can't score a goal in 90 minutes... Do we still get the chance to go to J1? I don't know ... please answer
Sorry, that i don't wrote a report now. The sidebar will be update in the next season, because i was off for a long time and this would to much work to get all the informations.
Hi Avispa-Fans and friends, I'm really sorry, but my internet sucks at the moment so i couldn't post here. I'll try to fix the problem soon as possible to bring you the news from our guys.
Another shadow result... We lost the second Kyushu-Derby against the new J2 member Roasso Kumamoto with 2:4. It began very well with a early goal from Tatsuya Okubo, but Avispa, like most of the time this season, couldn't keep the lead and Kumamoto scored 2 goals in just two minutes. Roasso-forward Yutaka Takahashi scored the two goals and the lead for his team. Just a few minutes before the halftime-break Joel Griffiths scored the tie. We outshooted Roasso with 14:7, but nearly every shot from them ended in our goal. Tomoaki Komorida scored the 2:3 and Takahashi gave us fans another punch in the face with his 3rd and final goal of the game. Now we are waiting since the first Kyushu-Derby against Tosu for another win.
VS. And we fell asleep again We lost against Shonan Bellmare with a dissappointing 4:0 at Hiratsuka today. Litti has to rotate alot because regular Starting 11-members Ufuk Talay, Joel Griffiths and Kiyokazu Kudo missed the game. Teruaki Kurobe and Mark Rudan were not in squad also. So Litti put Nuno into the front, and Yamagata in the midfield. Youngsters Jun Suzuki and Mike Havenaar, who was in the squad for the first time this year, were on bench. Everything went wrong soon with two goals from Shonan in the first 15 minutes. Adiel scored in the 11th and Naoki Ishihara in the 14th minute. After the dissappointing first half, Mike made his season-debut and replaced Nuno up front. Just 7 minutes after the break Naoki Ishihara found the goal again and scored the 3:0 for his team. 2 minutes after the 3:0 Litti wanted to go offensive and subed in veteran Nakaharai for Toru Miyamoto and Jun Suzuki for Yamagata in the 58th. Licoln, who played for us a very good season last year, gave us the K.O. with the 4:0 in the 88th minute.
It always seems like that we taking a 15 minute-nap at the locker room and the guys a not really awake after the break.
The next game is a really ultimatum-match for Litti or i have to report the bad news earlier. Avispa have to react!!!
Cautions: 13' - Hisanaga 57' - Nagira 60' - Jogo 65' - Mike
pics from the last games: Avispa - Kusatsu 1:1 Yamagata - Avispa 0:0 sorry that i didn't post the stats of the game i was really busy i hope you don't mind
WE ARE STILL ALIVE! We won 2:0 against 2nd placed Sagan Tosu at our first Kyushu-Derby this season! This was the right game to show that the team is still alive and we fans can count on them.
Young defender Tomokazu Nagira and Toru Miyamoto made their season debut. Nagira replaced Nuno and Toru replaced Nakajima on the left side. Hokuto went back to the right side of the defence and Tanaka played on the right side.
We started really agressvie and wanted a early goal. And it worked out. Griffiths made pressure on a Sagan defender who wanted controll it. Griffiths took the ball on the left side, dribbled and played a cross to Yusuke Tanaka who was free in the box. Tanaka stopped it with his right foot and shot with the left right into Sagan's goal. In the 32 minute, Sagan dender Yuichi Shibakoya stopped an Avispa player by a cynical foul andreferee Minoru Tojo sent him off so Sagan had to play with 10 players for ca. 60 minutes. Just five minutes after the red card for Tosu, Toru Miyamoto scored the second goal of the game and it was an unbelieveble one. It was a combinations of the two new defenders Nagira and Miyamoto. Sagan wanted clear the ball but it landed on Nagira's head. Nagira headed the ball to Miyamoto and he shot from the middle. Everyone thought the situation is over and Sagan's goalkeeper Taku Agahoshi would grapped the ball easily, but the ball slid trough his hands and bounced into the goal.
In the 2nd half, we didn't make more than we had to do by a 2:0-lead and one man more on the pitch , so Litti made 2 substitutions just after the 75 minute. Yamagata came in for Tanaka and Nuno came for Nagira in the 85 minute.
In view of the other results of sunday, the J2 got a 11-team-pool now. There are just 4 points between leader Sanfrecce Hiroshima and the 11th we, Avispa Fukuoka. Like a blogger-friend said: "...J2 hasn't started yet!"
Midfielder Hokuto Nakamura got a call up from coach Yasuhari Sorimachi to japanese U-23 trainingscamp in Saitama from 21st to 23rd april.
Hokuto's last match for NT is a shadow in his young career. At 22nd november 2006, Hokuto played with the U-21 against South Korea. He got fouled very bad by a south korean and after just 12 minutes he was out. After that the doctors diagnosed a bad knee-injury and Hokuto made only 3 games in 2007.
Now, over 1 1/2 year later, Hokuto is a regular starter for Avispa again and he made his first goal last week against FC Gifu.
Avispa opend a new shop on last sunday with a great ceremonie. It's a fanshop and a little museum in one with old Avispa shirts from the 90's and an old german NT-shirt from Litti. Midfielder Daisuke Nakaharai and forward Tatsuya Okubo were part of the opening ceremonie together with Litti and other officials from our team. Later, Naka and Okubo wrote some autographs and took pictures with the fans who jointed the opening.
The sadest moment of the season came last saturday at the game against new J2-member FC Gifu. We had to amend alot after the dissappointing lost against Tokushima Vortis the sunday before and everybody knew in what good shape Gifu is at the moment, but the fans couldn't believe what happend then. We started well and Hokuto, who played in the midfield this time, bring us the lead in the 18th minute, but what happend after the break was unbelieveble. Gifu played very aggressive after the break and forward Atsushi Katagiri scored a goal and tied the game in the 56th minute. Just one minute later it was Katagiri again who scored the lead for the green ones and Avispa was shocked like in the Tokushima-game one week before and Gifu punished us for it. 4 minutes later, Gifu had scored another 2 goals by Kazumasa Takagi and Takashi Umeda. Litti tried everything to get back into the game and subed in Tanaka for Nunobe and Okubo of Nakajima but the team was already knocked out. Takashi Umeda scored another goal in the 83rd minute and this was the end after a brutal rape by the guys in green...
It was like a punch in the belly when i read that Avispa lost 3:1 to Tokushima Vortis last sunday at Pocarisweat Stadium. With a win we had a big chance to climb in the table and would only one point behind the leader Sanfrecce Hiroshima who played just a 1:1 draw against our next opponent FC Gifu who is in good shape and we should have alot of respect to the new ones in the league, but we don't show it on the pitch. But to the game... it looked good for us first against the last ones from Tokushima because Joel Griffiths bring us the lead with his second goal of the season just three minutes after the half-time break, but Vortis tie it just one minute later with a goal from Shogo Nishikawa. After that we was a bit shocked so Tokushima saw there chance and score another goal two minutes after the first. Jun Tamano socred it this time. 15 minutes later 20 year-old ivorian Doumbia gave us the knockout with another goal for Vortis.
Now we are on the 9th place of the table and we want to get up quickly, so we need a victory against FC Gifu badly.
Avispa's talent and U-19 japanese international Jun Suzuki (18) got a call up for Japan U-19 trainingcamp in Shizuoka. The camp will be held from 6.4. to 9.4. They already train for next years FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt.
Suzuki made his season debut against Vegalta Sendai on J2 3rd Round. He was subed in in the 73. minute for Takanori Nakajima.

The next 2 games seems very easy for us...before the season. Ok, the next will be against J2's last ones from Tokushima Vortis in the Pocarisweat Stadium in Tokushima, but they beated Shonan on saturday 2:3, but anyway is should be easier than against the new green guys from Gifu. Gifu got 7 points like we and they are on 7th place just behind us. The new member of J2 struggled down Montedio Yamagata 3:5 away and just lost to top-conteders like Cerezo Osaka and Vegalta Sendai with one goal. I can imagine it will be a hard fight about the points. It would be a first big step if we could get the full 9 points of the 3 games. We already beated Ehime and and i hope we can beat the next two teams too.
Our second homegame, our second win. Oranges dont like rain, so we won 2:0 against the orange-kickers from Ehime FC.
New goalkeeper Motohiro Yoshida made his second match and defender Mark Rudan started first time this season for Nuno. Yamagata started again, so Hokuto was on bench. Foward Joel Griffiths is back from his ankle-injury and started along with Okubo. Tanaka played for Nakaharai, who was not even in the squad.
The teams started not so fast like in the Kofu-game last week and the fans had to wait long for the first goal. In the 37. minute Okubo scored his second goal of the season and his second in 2 matches. Avispa controlled the game the most of time and they outshoted Ehime with 12:5 shoots.
In the second half, australian forward Joel Griffiths scored his first goal of the season. In the 65. minute, just after the goal, Litti subed Kurobe in and don't want that the Ehime-defenders going to foul on him harder after he made the goal.
Nuno was subed in for Nagano in the 69. minute and 10 minutes later, Tanaka left the pitch for Hokuto, who played a more attacking part in the last two games.
Great Griffiths scored a goal. Let's hope he stay fine and this guy could be gold for us. Talay has to be careful, it was his 3rd yellow card in the 5th game.
VS. I'm sorry to say that we just stole one point from Takeda-city last sunday. Litti changed the defence with Yoshida between the posts, who made his first game of the season and Yamagata played on Hokuto's position.
Kofu just scored after a few seconds of playtime by a goal from their new forward Josimar who came from Ehime FC. But we came back directly with a score from Tatsuya Okubo in the 3rd minute. Then bouth fans had to wait very long for the next goal. After a hour australian midfielder Ufuk Talay scored his second goal of the season by a penalty and moved the game of us. 10 minutes later the Takeda-kickers scored again by Yohei Onishi, who was subed in 5 minutes earlier.
Kiyokazu Kudo was back and played in the starting 11 after he missed the last match, Tanaka played for Nakaharai and Mark Rudan made his first minutes in 2008 after the subed in for Nuno in the 83. minute.
After 3 games we got 4 points, thats not that great but 2 of the 3 games were away-games and in this case it is not sooo bad. But it's a bit sad that we not won against the weakest team of J2 in the moment.
Former footballcoach and one of the famous foreigners in Japan Dettmar Cramer visited Avispa Fukuoka yesterday. He visited the trainingground and the Headquater. In Japan, most of people said that Cramer is the "Father of japanese football".
Cramer coached the japanese olympic footballteam at Mexico in 1964 and won the bronze-medal with them. Kunishige Kamamoto scored the important goal for the japanese. Today, Kamamoto is the vice-president of the JFA.
Cramer coached Bayern Munich in the glory 70's and won the team-worldcup with them twice. He also coached the US nationalteam in the 70's.
A few years ago, Cramer became a member of the japanese football "Hall of Fame". He traveled to Japan very often for lectures.
Now he lives in Germany again and enjoy his retirement.
Second game, first lost. Avispa lost their away-game against Vegalta Sendai on thursday with 1:0. Both showed a good performance, but the referee gave a penalty to Vegalta in the 13. minute after a foul from Takanori Nakajima and so we lost the head-to-head-game in Sendai. Vegalta's forward Yuki Nakashima scored the penalty.
Joel Griffiths and Mark Rudan were still out because of their injurys and Kiyokazu Kudo missed the game too. youth international Jun Suzuki and defender Tatsunori Yamagata made their first minutes in 2008.
